Self Portrait, 2005

Inspired by shopping for Talavera tile, I dug into my seldom used stack of prints. I caught myself sketching the individual features of the face according to how I see myself, and quilters certainly know what it’s like to walk around with your head bursting with color, hence the title. This quilt was a lot of fun to put together and looks great against the yellow-washed plaster wall of our Spanish house.
